La bandeja recogegotas o bandeja de goteo, o buncover de nuevo, es el dispositivo que suele ofrecerse como accesorio opcional pero que nunca debe faltar en un filtro prensa de alto rendimiento.
Su función es conducir el líquido que normal y fisiológicamente se escapa durante la fase de filtración entre una placa y la siguiente.
Este líquido se recoge en una o dos balsas laterales que el instalador o usuario del filtro prensa conecta para conducirlo normalmente a la cabeza del sistema de filtración.
The Drip Tray is the device that is commonly offered as an option but which in reality should never be missing in a performing filter press.
Its function is to convey in a tray the liquid that normally draws out during the filtration phase between one plate and another.
This liquid is collected in one or two side trays from which the installer or user of the filter press then connects to convey it usually at the head of the filtration system.
Constructivamente, consiste en una o dos (según el tamaño de la máquina) puertas batientes movidas por actuadores lineales para permitir que la puerta permanezca cerrada durante la fase de filtración y se abra en cambio durante la fase de descarga de la torta.
Los actuadores (cilindros) pueden ser neumáticos o hidráulicos en función del tamaño de la máquina.
Drip tray is formed by one or two (depending on the size of the machine) tilting doors moved by linear actuators to allow the door to remain closed during the filtration phase. During the discharge of residual panel the linear actuators will open the doors to allow cake drop.
The actuators can be pneumatic or hydraulic depending on the size of the machine.
Si no hemos instalado la Bandeja de Goteo, todo el goteo que se produce durante la fase de filtración cae en el recipiente de recogida de la torta gastada donde se sabe que ha caído la torta descargada en la fase anterior.
Así que básicamente, con el filtro prensa intento, con todos los medios posibles, obtener el mayor grado de sequedad y la mayor deshidratación y luego, como no he colocado la Bandeja de Goteo, anulo parcialmente la acción obtenida en la fase anterior porque dejo que el goteo que se produce durante la fase de filtración (que a veces puede ser importante) caiga directamente encima de la torta seca descargada anteriormente.
En pocas palabras: me esfuerzo por conseguir la mayor deshidratación posible y luego, en la fase siguiente, no hago nada para evitar que el líquido moje lo que he prensado en la fase anterior: de este modo pierdo eficacia y dinero.
Por eso la bandeja recogegotas debe estar siempre presente, también porque es uno de esos extras opcionales que a menudo no se pueden montar a posteriori: en la mayoría de los casos es necesario desmontar la máquina in situ y no es seguro que se disponga de todo el equipamiento necesario (puente grúa, etc.).
Así que, en última instancia, la máquina debe nacer con la bandeja recogegotas y no es posible instalarla a posteriori.
If we have not installed the Drip Tray system, all the dripping that occurs during the filtration phase falls into the waste cake collection box where the cake in the previous cycle has already been discharged.

In other words: I strive to get as much dehydration as possible and then in the next phase I do nothing to prevent the liquid from wetting what I pressed in the previous phase: in this way I lose effectiveness and money.
This is why the Drip Tray should always be installed, also because it is one of those options that often cannot be mounted in a second stage: in most cases it is necessary to disassemble the machine on site and all the necessary equipment must be present. (bridge crane, etc …).
So ultimately, the machine must be born with the Drip Tray and it is not possible to install it after.
