Il Drip Tray o portellone raccolta colaticci o buncover ancora, è il dispositivo che viene comunemente offerto come optional ma che in realtà in un filtropressa performante non dovrebbe mai mancare.
La sua funzione è quella di convogliare il liquido che normalmente e fisiologicamente trafila durante la fase di filtrazione tra una piastra e l’altra.
Questo liquido viene raccolto in una o due vaschette laterali dal quale poi l’impiantista o l’utilizzatore del filtropressa si collega per convogliarlo di solito in testa all’impianto di filtrazione.
The Drip Tray is the device that is commonly offered as an option but which in reality should never be missing in a performing filter press.
Its function is to convey in a tray the liquid that normally draws out during the filtration phase between one plate and another.
This liquid is collected in one or two side trays from which the installer or user of the filter press then connects to convey it usually at the head of the filtration system.
Costruttivamente è realizzato da uno o due (a seconda della grandezza della macchina) portelloni basculanti movimentati da attuatori lineari per consentono al portellone di rimanere chiuso durante la fase di filtrazione e di aprirsi invece durante la fase di scarico del panello.
Gli attuatori (cilindri) possono essere pneumatici oppure idraulici a seconda della grandezza della macchina.
Drip tray is formed by one or two (depending on the size of the machine) tilting doors moved by linear actuators to allow the door to remain closed during the filtration phase. During the discharge of residual panel the linear actuators will open the doors to allow cake drop.
The actuators can be pneumatic or hydraulic depending on the size of the machine.
Se non abbiamo installato il Drip Tray, tutto lo sgocciolamento che si ha durante la fase di filtrazione cade nel cassone di raccolta dei panelli esausti dove notoriamente sono caduti i panelli scaricati nella fase prima.
Quindi sostanzialmente con il filtropressa cerco, con tutti gli accorgimenti possibili, di ottenere il maggior grado di secco e la maggior disidratazione e poi, visto che non ho montato il Drip Tray, vado a vanificare in parte l’azione ottenuta nella fase precedente perché permetto che lo sgocciolamento durante la fase di filtrazione (talvolta può essere rilevante) cada direttamente sopra ai panelli secchi scaricati precedentemente.
In parole povere: mi sforzo per ottenere la maggior disidratazione possibile e poi nella fase successiva non faccio nulla per evitare che il liquido vada a bagnare ciò che ho pressato nella fase precedente: in questo modo perdo efficacia e soldi.
Ecco perché il Drip Tray dovrebbe essere sempre presente, anche perché è uno di quegli optional che sovente non è possibile montare in un secondo momento: nella maggioranza dei casi è necessario smontare la macchina in loco e non è detto che ci siano tutte le attrezzature necessarie (carro ponte, ecc…).
Quindi in definitiva, la macchina deve nascere con il Drip Tray e non è possibile installarlo dopo.
If we have not installed the Drip Tray system, all the dripping that occurs during the filtration phase falls into the waste cake collection box where the cake in the previous cycle has already been discharged.
So basically with the filter press I try, with all possible precautions, to obtain the highest degree of dryness and the greatest dewatering and then, since I have not installed the Drip Tray, I allow dripping of liquid during the filtration phase (sometimes it can be significant) directly on top of the previously discharged dry cake.
In other words: I strive to get as much dehydration as possible and then in the next phase I do nothing to prevent the liquid from wetting what I pressed in the previous phase: in this way I lose effectiveness and money.
This is why the Drip Tray should always be installed, also because it is one of those options that often cannot be mounted in a second stage: in most cases it is necessary to disassemble the machine on site and all the necessary equipment must be present. (bridge crane, etc …).
So ultimately, the machine must be born with the Drip Tray and it is not possible to install it after.
